Living One Life
Count me among the living
a man who stands beside
others and their needs.
There is right and wrong I have seen,
so I challenge the good to do better
and the wrong to be corrected.

The paths you leave behind
for others to follow,
or to trace your life and view,
are all that mark a presence
of anyone who has walked
through time.

Discerning the correctness of actions
is the most difficult act to define.
Does it take away from another,
or advantage too many
who deserve only an opportunity
like all the rest of the world?

I do not possess great wisdom
nor does any other I have met,
any I have heard
and especially any who may profess
to know.

Perhaps the greatest gift
you may give another,
is not to direct them down
a given path, but rather
to help them find
their own path.

So many wonder about lost,
searching for meaning
desiring guidance
from a greater well of knowledge.
Perhaps the most precious gift
they posses
is understanding…
and above all
forgiveness.
