| Into the darkest reaches in hell boils the souls of all those who fell under the spell of the world gone berserk following men who twisted God’s word They followed the preaching of men everyday professing to know where you went astray follow me peoples and I will lead you back to the path – give your money they croon Let go your desire for rewards of the day look to the future and death where you’ll lay give unto me all that you possess your gold and your trinkets – give me the rest Your faith is your failing all blame falls on you they speak with a finger that’s pointing at you your prayers were not answered the fault lies on you you’re weak in your faith – God’s love not for you Then judgment arrives and God makes his call all on bended knee - even preachers who called HIS name to heal the sick and the hurt so many people did not hasten HIS word Search not in man to find your own salvation read the Great Book and give meditation search not this world for the direction to follow search your own heart – where the path is to hunger Believe me my friends in the Great Holy Word resides all the wisdom - God’s salvation is heard by DWHolmes (copyright - 2005) |
