| Through all the pleasures I have known equal disappointments have been cloned, be it friends or loved within my realm each through life has piloted the helm Sometimes truth just can’t be uttered when discovered or confronted, for the why or how could you… even knowing – she love me, too We must remember that each is human with their faults - some all consuming, but when I look into myself I must consider where my faults dwell So remember each of my friends all through life the loved ones blend, when betrayal’s chime does ring first forgiveness – then understanding Clarity… not always present an inner feeling of discontent, what could possibly motivate to strike against our trusted fate Forgiveness… not our first thought instead reprisal for what’s been lost, what is abridged between the two we must equate and acquire dues Understanding… almost never comes loss of reason seems to have won, the blinded side feels over exposed do not let your heart turn cold So remember each of my friends all through life the loved ones blend, when betrayal’s chime does ring first forgiveness – then understanding Close your eyes and breath real deep reach inside for the best you keep, open your arms and search the sky speak those words – “I forgive your lie” Do not live in past’s indiscretions throughout your days are life lessons, walk with forward thinking sentiment standing straight – not old and bent Just look forward toward future’s turns enjoy the moment and life’s lessons earned, smile once more to each you meet forgiveness breaks – the sorrows you keep So remember each of my friends all through life the loved ones blend, when betrayal’s chime does ring first forgiveness – then understanding by DWHolmes (copyright - 2005) |
