Oh the sweetness and simplicity
from the eyes of a child who sees
the untold vision with innocent thought
no ugliness – the world has wrought
There comes a time for work and fun
then serious talk as we become
an adult in life as we step out
into the world – our self so proud
Applying balance is a life long test
and a difficult task we must behest
to understand all we then encounter
there are two sides – one’s just a counter
Balance is sought by those with minds
filled with wisdom and are not blind
to other’s views who are as valid
do not speak with words so pallid
Speak to those you guide with honor
behold their words even if in power
bow to all beneath your height
don’t forget who holds you upright
